Now on Tour: New Titleist GT Drivers
Titleist is set to unveil its new line of drivers and fairway metals at the Memorial Tournament this week, continuing its legacy as the top choice for drivers among PGA TOUR players. The new Titleist GT2, GT3, and GT4 drivers mark the next generation of the TOUR’s most played driver, debuting alongside the new GT fairway metals at Muirfield Village.
The unveiling initiates the tour seeding and validation process, which will take place over the coming weeks and months across professional tours worldwide. Titleist's collaborative R&D approach, involving the input and validation from top players, remains central to their development of high-performance golf equipment.
Titleist Brand Ambassador Cameron Young praised the Titleist Golf Club R&D team for their dedication and comprehensive understanding of both PGA TOUR players and golfers in general. He highlighted the team's ability to address and experiment with any feedback or requests from players, underscoring their deep knowledge and innovative capabilities in creating top-tier golf equipment.
Titleist Tour Representatives are currently collaborating with players at the Memorial Tournament, fine-tuning the new GT models and collecting performance feedback over the next three days. This preparation leads up to Thursday’s opening round, offering players their first chance to use the new GT metalwoods in competition.
Titleist Drivers on the Game’s Biggest Stages
Since the 2018-19 season and the inception of the Titleist Speed Project, Titleist drivers have been the most played on the PGA TOUR. Titleist drivers also dominate at major amateur championships. At the NCAA Division I Men’s Championship, over half the field (51 percent) used a Titleist driver, including the individual champion. Similarly, Titleist was the top choice at the NCAA Division I Women’s Championship (33 percent) and the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, where the champion also used a Titleist driver.
This consistent preference for Titleist drivers across both professional and amateur stages underscores the brand's commitment to excellence and player collaboration in developing high-performance golf equipment.
