After completing his PGA traineeship at the end of 2018, David Feeney brings 15 years of golf experience to his role. Having played for three different provinces in Senior Representative Golf, David has honed his skills both on and off the course.

With eight years of experience in the retail sector and fitting, David has developed a passion for providing exceptional customer service and loves the excitement of helping people find the right gear for their game.

With over two decades of experience in the golf industry, James has been assembling clubs for some of the top brands since 1998, including Spalding, Hogan, Nicklaus, Cleveland, Mizuno, Ping alterations, and Wilson.

At his home club of Muriwai, James has been a key member of the team, helping them win eight Nobilo Pennant Titles. He has also represented North Harbour in age group and senior teams, showcasing his skills on the course. With his wealth of experience and expertise, James is the go-to person for expert fitting and in-depth club fitting information.

Jim Cusdin, a former professional golfer with eight years of experience playing in both New Zealand and overseas, has recently moved to Auckland. He has a deep passion for the sport and is committed to staying at the forefront of the golfing industry by continuously upskilling.

Utilizing cutting-edge technology available in-store and a variety of other services, Jim is well-equipped to take your golf game to the next level.

His dedication to golf and his extensive knowledge of the latest advancements in golf equipment and techniques make him a valuable asset to any golfer looking to improve their game.

Steven Kuggeleijn is a passionate and dedicated individual. With a strong background in the sport and a relentless drive to excel, Steven is quickly making a name for himself within The Clubroom Golf Shop.

Steve's journey in the golfing world has seen him caddy at the prestigious Tara Iti Golf Club, where he had the unique opportunity to work closely with seasoned golfers and gain invaluable insights into the game.

Steve is excited to start his apprenticeship at The Clubroom Golf. His commitment to excellence, combined with his deep knowledge of golf equipment and accessories, makes him a valuable addition to the team.

Chichi Hu (Zhuoyi) has been playing golf for 13 years, and is now a PGA trainee who has a passion for both golf and coaching. She has played golf at a senior level for Wellington, Man - Wang and Taranaki Provinces.

Chichi has also won several international and national tournaments, including the HSBC China Junior Championship, IJGA World Stars Of Junior Golf Championship and the Mission Hills Golf Series.

She is fluent in four languages: English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Hokkien. Chichi is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about golf equipment and can help you select the equipment that suits you best.

Brett's journey in golf began at The Redwood Park Golf Club. As a longstanding member of the Redwood Park Golf Club, Brett has not only honed his skills there but has also cultivated lasting relationships within the tight-knit golfing community.

Representing Northland & North Harbour throughout his golfing career, Brett has showcased his talent and dedication on numerous occasions. Whether competing in local tournaments or representing his region in interclub matches, he has consistently demonstrated a high level of skill and sportsmanship.

Now, Brett takes on the challenge of pursuing a PGA NZ Traineeship. Brett is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about golf equipment and can help you select the equipment that suits you best.

Kerry is a dedicated employee at The Clubroom Golf Store, where he brings passion and expertise to the world of golf. Working diligently at both The Clubroom Newton Road and The Clubroom Albany locations, Kerry has become an invaluable member of the team.

Kerry provides exceptional service to customers, helping them find the perfect clubs, accessories, and attire to enhance their game. His friendly demeanor and commitment to customer satisfaction make him a trusted advisor to golf enthusiasts of all levels.

Outside of work, Kerry remains an avid golfer himself. His genuine enthusiasm for the game shines through in everything he does.

Keegan Wiltshier, a former high-level amateur golfer. After completing his Business Management Degree at the University of Waikato, Keegan represented the Bay of Plenty in both junior and senior teams.

Keegan won the 2015 New Zealand Maori Golf Nationals, which was a significant accomplishment. Keegan's knowledge of the game and his attention to detail have made him a key part to The Clubroom.

Part time Keegan is now using his skills and experience to help professional golfer Harry Hillier as his caddie over in the USA.

Fraser Wilkin is a dedicated golf professional with a passion for the game that began at a young age. He grew up just across the road from a golf course where he started playing at the age of five, and has been hooked ever since. Over the years, Fraser has worked in various roles and organizations within the golf industry, and he continues to pursue his love for the game today.

Currently, Fraser is working part-time at The Clubroom Newton Road while also coaching at the Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club. He is collaborating with Marcus Wheelhouse, the coach of renowned golfer Ryan Fox, to help players of all skill levels hone their golfing abilities.

Hayden McCallum is located at The Clubroom Albany. With a background in golf, Hayden has previously worked at the Akarana Golf Club and Waitemata Golf Club.

Hayden has a strong understanding of the technical aspects of golf equipment and works closely with customers to ensure they have the right equipment to improve their game.

Hayden's expertise in golf equipment and his passion for the sport make him a valuable asset to the golf community at The Clubroom Albany.

Chase McKewon is a highly skilled club fitter and a former NZ Long Drive Champion. Known for his incredible distance off the tee, Chase has made a name for himself in the golf industry. With years of experience in retail, Chase has honed his skills in helping golfers find the right equipment to take their game to the next level.

He has a passion for helping golfers of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned professionals, achieve their full potential.

Sam Reese is a skilled club fitter who is currently completing his PGA Traineeship. With a background in high-level competitive golf, having represented North Harbour in various age groups, Sam has a deep understanding of the game and what it takes to perform at a high level.

Mitch Coombs, the Assistant Manager at The Clubroom Albany. Mitch is a qualified personal trainer & has Golf Retail Management experience spanning eight years in the industry.

Dan Crook is a highly skilled club fitter and a passionate advocate for helping golfers improve their game. Working out of The Clubroom Hamilton, Dan combines his expertise in golf with a deep understanding of physical fitness. As a TPI Certified Sport Specific Strength Coach, Dan knows the critical role physical fitness plays in golf performance.

Dan has excelled in the retail sector, guiding countless golfers to find the right equipment to enhance their game. With his dedication and expertise, Dan is committed to helping golfers of all levels achieve their full potential on the course.

Growing up across from Hamilton Golf Club, Mark Purser played extensively as an amateur and professionally from 2007, competing in Asia, Australia, and the United States.

Purser was part of a talented Waikato academy cohort in the early 2000s, which included golfers like Brad Shilton, Matt Holten, Richard Wright, James Gill, Mark Boe, and Jim Cusdin. 

As a full-time coach, Mark is dedicated to helping golfers achieve their personal goals through personalized training programs and expert guidance. 

In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Mark also works part-time in the store, where he shares his knowledge of golf equipment and gear, ensuring that customers find the perfect products to enhance their performance. 

Aaron Goddard, a dedicated golf enthusiast, is a valued team member at The Clubroom Hamilton. His love for the game began at the age of four, and ever since, golf has been an integral part of his life.

As a proud member of St Andrews Hamilton, Aaron lives and breathes the sport, channeling his passion into helping fellow golfers elevate their game.

With a deep understanding of golf's nuances and a commitment to fostering improvement, Aaron is dedicated to ensuring that each golfer he works with gets the most out of their experience on the course.

Mitch is a dedicated golf enthusiast who recently completed a stint caddying at the prestigious Tara Iti. Fully trained in club fitting through Mizuno and Titleist, Mitch has a keen eye for detail and a passion for helping golfers find the perfect equipment. He aspires to begin his PGA Traineeship in the near future, furthering his commitment to the sport.

In addition to his expertise in golf, Mitch is a qualified builder and holds a qualification as a Snowboarding Instructor. His diverse sports background includes experience scoring international cricket, reflecting his broad passion for sports.

Luke Graf, a dedicated golfer, has been immersed in the sport for the past decade. His journey began at Riverside Golf Club, now known as Tieke, where he honed his skills and developed a deep love for the game. Growing up in a golfing family, Luke was introduced to the sport by his father, which sparked a lifelong passion.

Luke has represented Tieke in pennants, showcasing his talent and dedication to the club. His expertise isn't limited to just playing; Luke has a keen interest in golf equipment and gear. He enjoys helping customers find the perfect equipment to enhance their game, drawing on his extensive knowledge and experience.

Aside from golf, Luke has a background in football, a sport he grew up playing and continues to follow enthusiastically. His diverse interests and expertise make him a valuable asset to the golfing community, both on and off the course.

Hayden Beard is a fully qualified PGA Professional who graduated from Waikato University with an Accounting Degree in 2012. However, his love for golf led him to turn professional and play in Australia and Asia for five years.

After gaining valuable experience on the course, Hayden decided to share his knowledge with others. He is particularly passionate about helping junior golfers and hosts a lot of junior clinics, including school groups during school terms.

With his expertise and enthusiasm for the game, Hayden is dedicated to helping young players improve their skills and reach their full potential.

Jay Carter is a highly experienced golf coach who has been based at Tauranga Golf Club since 2006. During this time, he has helped numerous players achieve their golfing goals.

Jay's impressive coaching credentials have led him to become the current Golf New Zealand High Performance Coach. With his wealth of knowledge and experience, he is dedicated to helping his clients achieve their own golfing aspirations. Jay utilizes the latest in golf technology, including TrackMan and SAM Putt Lab, to ensure his clients receive the most accurate and valuable feedback possible.

He is also one of only a select few coaches in the country who is Aimpoint certified, demonstrating his commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies in the sport.

Jackson Price is a fully qualified PGA Professional who has now joined The Clubroom Tauranga team. Jackson started playing golf at a young age after being gifted his grandma’s old clubs for Christmas. At age 21, he decided to take a break from golf and join the Australian Defence Force as a rifleman. After four years in the military, Jackson fell back in love with golf and decided to complete his NZ PGA traineeship. 

Originally from Australia, Jackson made the move across the ditch in 2020. Jackson is excited to now be offering professional golf lessons and coaching at The Clubroom Tauranga alongside director Hayden Beard. 

Jackson loves the fun challenge of the game, and can’t wait to continue helping players progress their golfing goals.

Carson Van Asselt is an exceptional club fitter who is currently undergoing his PGA Traineeship. Having played at a high level throughout his career, Carson has represented the Bay of Plenty golf team on multiple occasions as part of their Junior and Senior Teams. Hailing from Ohope, where he developed his love for the game.

Carson is a true golf enthusiast who is always excited about the latest and greatest products to hit The Clubroom Shop floor. With his deep knowledge of the sport and commitment to helping golfers of all levels improve their game, Carson is a valuable addition to the team.

Shania Cooke is a talented golfer who has recently joined The Clubroom golf retail store. She plays off a 9 handicap and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team.

With her passion for golf and love for the sport, Shania is committed to providing exceptional customer service and helping customers find the perfect gear to improve their game.

Zoe has been a reporter in Tauranga for more than a decade, writing for the Bay of Plenty Times and formerly SunLive. Seeking a change in career and lifestyle, she now joins The Clubroom team.

Zoe classes herself as an extremely beginner golfer. While she hasn’t managed to sneak any extra tips from her husband Hayden, she has been enjoying learning the game through the Ladies Super 6s and is excited for the opportunity to play more golf.
