Matt Fitzpatrick Wins The RBC Heritage

Titleist Pro V1x Loyalist Matt Fitzpatrick fulfilled a lifelong dream on Sunday by winning the RBC Heritage tournament at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Fitzpatrick, who had been vacationing at Hilton Head Island with his family since he was six years old, won the tournament in dramatic fashion with a 9-iron shot from 186 yards that landed inches from the hole on the 18th hole. This victory marked the second win on the PGA Tour for Fitzpatrick, who shot a final-round 3-under 68 for a total of 17-under 267 over the four-day tournament.

Fitzpatrick, who is also the reigning U.S. Open champion, spoke about how winning this tournament was a dream come true for him. He said, "There isn't a higher one on my list to win than this one, and that's the truth. My family can tell you that, and my friends can tell you the same thing. This place is just a special place for me, and it means the world to have won it."

Fitzpatrick's win propelled him to a career-best ranking of eighth in the Official World Golf Ranking. Throughout the tournament, he carried a head cover featuring the iconic candy-cane striped lighthouse of Hilton Head Island on his driver. Fitzpatrick and Jordan Spieth were tied for the lead at 17-under heading into the playoff, but Fitzpatrick's clutch shot on the third playoff hole secured the victory and the champion's tartan jacket.
