Max Forgiveness Meets Tour Spin: PING’s 2026 Lineup Explained
Just Announced: PING Breaks Records with New G440 K Driver & s259 Wedges
PING has kicked off 2026 with a massive double release, dropping their most forgiving driver ever alongside a versatile new wedge line designed for Tour-level control.
Here is the critical intel on the new hardware arriving at The Clubroom.

The G440 K Driver: A New Standard in Forgiveness
PING has officially set a new company record for MOI (Moment of Inertia) with the G440 K, making it their straightest and most forgiving model to date.
- The Tech: The record-setting stability comes from the new Dual Carbonfly Wrap, a carbon crown and sole design that saves significant weight.
- New Adjustability: Unlike previous maximum forgiveness models, the G440 K utilizes that weight savings for a heavier, movable back weight. You can now shift the weight between Draw, Neutral, and Fade positions to fine-tune ball flight while maintaining that record-high MOI.
- The Family: While the "K" is the headline act, it joins the full G440 lineup - including MAX, SFT (Straight Flight Technology), and LST (Low Spin Technology) models - ensuring a specific head for every swing type.
- Sound Design: PING used Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to engineer internal ribs and a crown bridge, ensuring the G440 K retains a solid, confident, and muted sound at impact despite the carbon body.
s259 Wedges: Spin, Control, and 6 Grinds
Replacing the s159, the new s259 wedges focus on friction and versatility, available in two stunning finishes: Hydropearl 2.0 Chrome and a glare-reducing Midnight.
- Max Friction: The face features wheel-cut grooves combined with a face-blast texture to maximize spin. The 54° to 62° lofts use tightly spaced MicroMax grooves, while the 46° to 52° options are milled for precise control on full shots.
- Expanded Grinds: The lineup includes six distinct grinds (S, H, B, T, W, E). Notable updates include a reshaped E-grind (Eye2-style) for bunker confidence and a steeper trail edge on the T-grind for open-faced versatility. The forgiving W-grind is now available in 50° and 52° gap wedge lofts.
- New "Dyla-Grip": A ¾-inch longer proprietary grip with a reduced taper and visual indicators helps players choke down or manipulate the handle for more precise shot-making.
